Waking Up to Smoothies

| |

If I let my boys drink juice at every meal they would be happy. Unfortunately for them, I don’t buy it much so when I do I am picky! I was happy to write a sponsored post for Silk Fruit & Protein today because we’ve tried it out before and can honestly say it is good!

My single serve blender is a permanent fixture on the counter these days. You know I’ve been drinking my shakes for two meals a day to lose weight. Well, the boys have been a tad jealous. They see me pull out all the ingredients to make a yummy drink and they want some! So the other day we decided to shake things up around here and everyone had smoothies for breakfast!

I let them pick how they wanted to make it. We grabbed bananas and frozen fruits and then I let them decide if they wanted to add almond milk or juice as the base. I got to thinking about the time we had Berry Blend Fruit & Protein in the house and used that for our smoothie. It was perfect! Actually I have the recipe here for you…

1c of Silk Fruit & Protein ~ Mixed Berry Flavor

1/2 c Orange Juice

1 tsp Vanilla

2c Ice

Handful of frozen mixed berries

Mix all together in blender and voila!

Ever since that morning, C’Man has been making his own smoothies for breakfast. I love that he handles it all on his own and he thinks he is being spoiled with a special treat. A win win!

Fruit & Protein can be found next to the almond milks (my section!) not the juices, though it does taste like a yummy juice! Comes in two other flavors besides the Mixed Berry. Mango Peach and Strawberry Banana.

They contain a good sources of protein, that you won’t find in other juices, and also excellent in calcium, vitamin D & C.

Though we make smoothies a lot, Fruit & Protein is super good just by itself. A great alternative to ‘regular’ boring juices and a plus that it is free of lactose, cholesterol, gluten, eggs, casein, MSG and made with non-GMO ingredients. Yes!

Next time you are at the store grab a Silk Fruit & Protein to try for breakfast. Drink it alone or make a smoothie!

Here is a list of stores it can be found and here is a $1 off coupon to snag.
