Try Hypermiling as you Drive Along

I discovered the term ‘hypermiling’ a few years ago. I am very conscious on how I drive and watch my gas tank to see how I’m doing. I’m even at the point where when I’m driving with other people and they are doing it ‘wrong’ I inwardly cringe. ha! It has really become a game. How many miles can I go on a tank of gas?

Hypermiling, defined by Urban Dictionary – method(s) of increasing your car’s gas mileage by making skillful and simple changes to your car parts and the way you drive it.

  • I have a Prius and I still can't bring myself to be a hypermiler! Silly, I know, but even on my worst days I still manage to average 41 mpg.
  • I try to follow most of these strategies, especially since I drive a truck. But in winter, it sometimes has to run for 10 minutes just to the last few days of -20 and then some.
  • haha remember when I used to call it HyperDriving hee hee - I probably do hyper DRIVING all the time... going to see if I can pick up a few more tips over at Maggie Bags! :)
