Life Without Plastic {Stainless Steel Tumbler, Spork, Food Container} Giveaway

| | |

Maybe you’ve been listening to me lately, or the whole time I’ve written this blog, talk about why many Plastic items are not the best choice.

Life Without Plastic is a store dedicated to sharing with you other products that are much more healthier for you to use.

Why is Plastic a problem? Not only is it an enormous waste in our landfill, but a huge reason is

Health Risks.

The evidence is growing that chemicals leached from plastics used in cooking and food/drink storage are harmful to human health. The most disturbing of these are hormone (endocrine) disrupters, such as Bisphenol A (BPA), which can stimulate the growth of cancer cells. Exposure to BPA at a young age can cause genetic damage, and BPA has been linked to recurrent miscarriage in women.

I have some simple small items to help convert your Kitchen and your way of life.

Stainless Steel Folding Spork (On sale $4.13)

Last year I bought some bamboo utensils to take along in my bag. The spoon works fine, the fork barely stabs, and the knife doesn’t cut. I’ve been pretty disappointed in it, but it has saved me from using any throw away plastic-ware at restaurants.

This spork is awesome! The spoon is large and deep and the fork actually works. It folds in half to take up hardly any room in my bag. I need more than one!

Stainless Steel Food Storage Container ($16.50)

A practical, airtight and watertight, 12 cm (4.75″) food storage container.

I am all about stainless steel food storage and I love the lid clips on this one. How many times do you question if something is really closed? Perfect for putting leftovers in (freezer too!) or for Hubby to take his lunch to work.

It is made of high quality, food grade stainless steel. Easy to clean, the bottom part can be washed in the dishwasher or re-heated on the stove. Comes in five sizes!

Stainless Steel Tumbler ($6.95)

This is my favorite item I received because do you know what our kid cupboard looks like? Flimsy, cheap plastic cups from restaurants. My kids need this stainless steel tumbler and I want many more!

It’s a great size for them at 8oz or a juice cup for me. Small enough to bring along to your next picnic or to the beach so you don’t have to buy those paper cups again.

Made tough. It’s not going to crack or break and going to last a long long time!
