I’m Participating in the Nickelodeon Big Book Drive #NickCFK

|

This month I am partnered up with Champions for Kids to help with their Nickelodeon Big Help Book Drive.

Gather your friends, family, and co-workers by hosting a Nickelodeon Big Help Book Drive! Ask each person to bring books and magazines that are appropriate for children, and give the books and magazines to a teacher, librarian, or community representative for his or her students. Help children discover the joy of reading and lead happier lives!

Very excited!

I began by thinking about the different organizations in my community, I decided to donate all the books I receive to a local Orphan Relief. After chatting with them, I learned that they need books – new and gently used – for kids of all ages.

I have always been a book worm. My nose was always in a book from a young age. I have tried my hardest to instill this love in my kids. We have quite the collection, and we are anxious to go through our own books to see what we can donate for others.

To begin my Book Drive, I was headed to Walmart to purchase the Nickelodeon books that they carried.

See my shopping trip here.

We were greeted inside Walmart with Halloween Books. Perfect way to begin I thought!

Then we headed back to the Book Section to see what Nickelodeon Books we could find.

A great variety of Dora! Which is FuN for us right now because P’Diddy is obsessed with Dora and I have to read her multiple times of day. I grabbed one of each.

Look for the new Dora the Gymnast book at your Walmart.

Is your love of books calling you to take a step out of your comfort zone? Participate with me in the Big Help Book Drive in your community and to report it on the Champions for Kids website. Be one of millions to help meet the goal of 20 million people by 2020.

Watch for my post next week and you can see my donation pile and the Orphan Relief program I drop them off to!

Where would you to?
