I Can’t Live Without my Carbonite Online Backup {Giveaway}

Easter is not the only event this year on March 31st. It is also titled World Backup Day. Don’t be an April Fool. Backup your Files! hee hee. I stole that cute little line.

I also borrowed these great tips to bring order to your digital life…

  1. A picture is worth a thousand words. Start by sorting through photos – delete the junkers, and create an annual “Pics to Print” folder, so you can quickly find the best shots.
  2. Take it “byte-by-byte.” It took a while to create the mess, so it will take some time to organize it.  Tackle files on your desktop, tablet and smartphone one at a time so you don’t feel overwhelmed. Every little bit will make a big difference!
  3. Create a VIP club. Make an “Important Files” folder with copies of your car title, passports and birth certificates in one place so you can quickly find them when you need them.
  4. Protect your files. Make sure your files are safe and secure using online backup such as Carbonite, which is simply “set it and forget it,” so doesn’t require any effort!

About a year ago, I introduced Carbonite to you. An online backup system for your computer. I can not tell you enough how much better I feel knowing I have their system. The best part is that it is SO easy. I do nothing. It runs in the background and stores all my files as I save new ones.

I no longer have to worry about all of my YEARS of pictures that are on my computer.

If my computer crashes, if my house burns down (like it almost did!), or if my three year old decides to spill on my laptop, it will all be okay…well my files will be okay…my three year old maybe not. ha! I can easily get all of my files from ANYwhere there is internet excess to put on ANY computer.

I’m telling you. You NEED Carbonite!

  • Your comment about losing all of your precious photos and records to a fire are very very true. My stepson's house ( with my husband's grand daughter) burned down to the ground two weeks ago. If you keep tax records and other important files on your computer and your written files and receipts burn, it is next to impossible to do an accurate tax return too. Just another headache along with all the others of having to rebuild your life. Think of this as a simple and easy insurance policy to protect you from the heartaches of the unexected.
  • I keep a few things in a safety deposit box, but, I have SUCH an insane mess of files half printed, half stored on a few different online sites, and half in my laptop. Oh I have an external harddrive and several SD cards and flash drives lying around too. I'm a mess. Haha!
  • whoa-fully we have suffered the consequences of NOT backing up!?! I lost my main laptop with all our pics and sermons and church powerpoints....but I haven't found a backup plan I like yet...haven't tried carbonite. right now it's all on flashdrives.
  • Uh no to all the above! LOL I have most of my stuff from my old computer saved onto an external hard drive but nothing from the new one!
  • We back up our files on other drives, but nothing like Carbonite. I've always wanted to get this service, but we simply can not afford it on an ongoing monthly basis. But man would it be nice to finally go to bed knowing that my years of pictures and 3 TB's of music is as secure as it can possibly be.
  • I was just chatting with my sister the other day about this topic. Sadly, I am not comfortable with our current back-up system.
  • Right now, I just back up stuff on a flashdrive, but I've been thinking a lot about getting Carbonite!
  • My work has a daily cloud-based backup they run but we are not protected at home. We try to keep photos, etc on the cards or on CDs, but I know we are at risk for everything else.
  • i should be backing up, mostly because i killed my last computer and i lost a ton of things i had stored on computer, bummer
  • We have external hard drives and extra backup. I have been trying to talk to my husband about Carbonite, because he really could use the extra back up for all his photos.
  • I feel bad to say I don't especially since I have all my daughters pictures on my laptop. I should atleast back them up on discs. Thanks for the chance to win :)
  • I have no back up, but would love the carbonite online backup for in the future should something happen to my computer.
