Gluten Free Cherry Cobbler with Real Cherries in the Slow Cooker

When every single family member scarfs down something I made and asks for more, then I know it must be good. I whispered to Hubby that it was gluten free too! But do you know what the real secret is? The fresh, organic cherries! My Slow Cooker Gluten Free Cherry Cobbler only took a couple of hours to bake – just in time for a warm dessert after dinner.

The Ninja 3-in-1 Cooking System is making my life a breeze!

Fast One Pot Meal Making. Make an entire entree all at once! Spaghetti and Meatballs can be made in 25 minutes – that is cooking the pasta (no draining!) and using frozen meatballs. Amazing!

Steam Infused Roasting & Baking. Use it just like an oven! My first recipe was banana bread and I loved how I could watch it bake through the glass lid. Have you ever felt safe running to the store while your oven is on? No. Don’t worry about a thing now as it will shut off when time is up.

Slow Cooking. Sear your meat first right in the pot. Then add your other ingredients and let it slow cook all day long on high, low or buffet setting.

With triple heat infusion everything cooks faster and juicier bringing out all the flavor. I love how big it is – holds up to 4 pounds of roast!

I could have made this cherry cobbler in the oven setting so it would bake faster, but I wanted it slooooower and timed with the end of us eating dinner so I prepared it first.

  • 1 lb fresh cherries, pitted {use a cherry pitter if you have one}
  • 1/4 c coconut sugar {or cane sugar}
  • 1/8 c cornstarch
  • 1 TBL lemon juice
  • 1/2 t vanilla
  • Topping
  • 1/4 c gluten free oats
  • 1/4 c gluten free flour
  • 1/4 c brown sugar
  • 3 TBL cold butter
  • 1/2 t cinnamon {benefits of cinnamon}

  1. Mix together all filling ingredients and dump in slow cooker.
  2. Mix together all topping ingredients and make sure to cut in butter after slicing in small pieces. It will start to resemble a crumble as you mix it in but doesn't have to be perfect. Dump mixture over the filling in slow cooker.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 2 hours then serve warm.
  4. I can't resist serving with ice cream.
