About a year ago I introduced book one of the ArchAngel Prophecies. It was titled Dark Hope and written by Monica McGurk. You can go back to my review here. It’s a book written for teens, but that never stops me from reading too. Sometimes they are the best!
C’Man read Dark Rising: Book 2 of the ArchAngel Prophecies in a few days and then informed me he would like to write my post and that he wouldn’t put any spoilers into it. From the mouth – I mean keyboard – of a 13 year old…
In Dark Rising: Book two of the Archangel Prophecies, Hope goes on the quest to find the rock that Cain used to throw at his brother Abel. They go to Turkey and Ireland and all the way to France looking for this rock that killed. All while Hope is looking for the rock, another quest is going on in Atlanta. The quest to find Hope because her parents don’t know where she is.
This book is good because it talks about the history of all of these countries and cities they visit around the world so you get a history lesson. If you liked the first book you will also like this page turning, action packed book. Can Hope upend a prophecy as old as time or will she fail?
Don’t you love him? Thanks C’Man!
For me, the book is a bit harder to get into for the same reason I had with the first one. Moody and almost rude ‘teenage’ archangels are hard for me to read about and I wanted God to intervene because He can do all things. I had to keep telling myself it’s a young adult fantasy story and my son loved it. ha! It is full of adventure though and I like that Hope is a strong girl who is giving up a lot to try and save the world.
Dark Rising is available on Amazon. Happy reading!
