Dairy Free Fruit Parfait
P’Diddy’s favorite breakfast we call the ‘Chick-fil-A Yogurt’. It is an item he orders frequently at that restaurant because he likes it so much. One day I asked him if he’d like me to try and make it at home and he said yes! I now make it all the time, but with a twist or two. This dairy free fruit parfait recipe is our favorite way.
If you know the ‘Chick-fil-A Yogurt’ then you know it is made with strawberries, blueberries and you can choose either granola or cookie crumbles for a mix-in.
Our Dairy Free Fruit Parfait Recipe
4 large {organic} strawberries
10-12 {organic} blueberries
Silk dairy free yogurt in plain, strawberry or blueberry
Horizon Organic cinnamon snack grahams {or choose their honey or chocolate flavor}
Slice up the strawberries. Crush a handful of the snack grahams.
In this photo I used two different kinds of yogurt, but one carton is usually plenty.
Pour half the amount of yogurt you are using into a bowl {or school container to go}. Layer with all the crushed snack grahams and half the fruit. Pour the remaining yogurt on top and garnish the top with the other half of the fruit and a couple of whole snack grahams to make cute.
It doesn’t have to be just about breakfast either, that is just his most common time to eat it. It’s a fabulous snack or dessert when you crave something sweet. I will even put it in his school lunch this fall for a fun treat. And shhhhh don’t tell him that it is very healthy for him too! It’s sooooo good! The crushed snack grahams make the perfect filler.
You’ll notice I used almost all organic ingredients and the Silk dairy free yogurt is made with nothing artificial and is non-GMO verified. It all came from King Soopers grocery store which is in the Kroger family. They have great organic and/or all natural sections through out the store.
Healthy treats make for happy kids!
Will you make this dairy free fruit parfait for breakfast, dessert or a lunch snack?
