Commuting to Work in the Mazda CX-3

|

My poor husband commutes 45 minutes to work each way during the week. Sometimes more when he has to visit other offices. The type of car he drives is important and he was happy to test out the Mazda CX-3 for a week to see what he thought.

What features make a commute better:

AWD. All wheel drive is a must in these Colorado winters. I don’t like to worry about him!

Size. He doesn’t need much room when it’s just him and while this does fit five comfortably, its smallness is perfect to get around and park.

Heated seats. This might be his favorite feature as he doesn’t have it in his car now and brrrr it’s cold out there.

Moon roof for the nice breeze.

Leatherette-trimmed sport seats – all the boys in the house thought these were cooool.

Advanced Blind Spot Monitoring in the side mirror with Rear Cross Traffic Alert that beeps if you are crossing over the line. I think these features were made for commuters!

Paddle steering column shifters to shift gears right at the wheel.

Change to Sport mode when you want a little more power in the city.

Bluetooth hands free phone and audio capability. He always has phone meetings on the way to work so this is great.

Heads up speedometer and navigation to keep your eyes on the road. I have never seen a display like this before – such a neat safety feature!

7″ full color touch screen display with does many wonderful things:

Has a safety feature which doesn’t allow you to use the touch screen while car is in motion. There is a knob at hands level that does work.

Navigation system for the times he has a meeting or dinner at a new location.

Mazda Connect Infotainment System for Pandora, Sirius Radio (which is a must for commuters with all the channels!), Text messaging and more.

USB input to listen to music or podcasts from phone.

Cruise control, power windows and locks, cup holders, cargo area with fold down split seats, keyless entry are all features you take for granted in a new car, but really a must when commuting to work each day.

And isn’t it just darn cute?!
