Cholaca Pure Liquid Cacao

This job as a blogger is so hard sometimes. Especially those nights I get to visit the offices of Cholaca to drink Pure.Liquid.Cacao.
Cholaca is one of the most heart healthy, nutrient-dense superfoods on the planet. Let me tell you a little bit about how it is made.
First, the cacao pod is harvested from the theobroma cacao tree in the rainforests of Ecuador and Peru. The beans are extracted from inside the pod and fermented. As the beans generate heat their enzymes break down, darken in color and intensify in flavor. They are then laid out to dry so they become richer and crunchy. Next, the bean’s outer skin is removed to find the cacao nib inside. Now the Cholaca unique process can begin to create their delicious drink!
Cacao is rich source of flavonoids, iron and magnesium and it also has the highest levels of antioxidants of any food. Vegan, gluten free, dairy free and paleo friendly. Isn’t that wonderful! Chocolate that is good for us!
A shot of Cholaca liquid cacao is made with just two or three ingredients and gives you the boost you need. It comes in 3 flavors:
Unsweetened – just cacao and water.
Original – a little coconut sugar added.
Sweet – a little more coconut sugar added.
Cholaca is a wonderful addition to so many foods:
Add it to almond milk to make Chocolate Milk. Heat it up for Hot Chocolate. The kids will love it!
Mix it with your Coffee. Or your Chai. Put in a Smoothie. So good!
The local breweries here in Boulder are making Chocolate Beer with it!

We decorated Chocolate Gingerbread cookies that night at the Cholaca offices with Sprouts Farmers Market who brought in all yummy ingredients for our cookies and hot chocolate. We learned all about cacao and how Cholaca buys it directly from the farmers, then helps them to regenerate their fields. All of this is done without the help of pesticides, which not only makes better chocolate, but shows love to our planet too. Can’t get any better than organic and fair trade.
