Back to School Shopping with #CookiesKids

A few years ago my boys were going to attend a new Catholic private school. One of the items they needed for their school uniform was a navy blue solid tie to wear to on Mass morning. Do you know that I went all over town looking for this tie? I had no idea that it would be so difficult to find.

Frustrated, I began to search online and was first introduced to Cookie’s Kids.

I found a navy, clip-on tie, just like I wanted, for only $2.99! I was able to grab different lengths for each of the boys and was forever grateful to Cookie’s Kids. I would be back one day.

It’s taken me some time, but last week I placed my second order with them. View our path to purchase photo album.

This time my boys attend a public school, but they still have to abide by a uniform. It isn’t as strict as the private school and they can choose from four solid colors of shirts – navy, white, red, or grey. They can wear jeans or navy/khaki pants and shorts.

What I really liked and made my shopping so much easier so their great nav bars – I could first choose Boys Dept then narrow down my search to Tops then even further to Navy tops…or brands or prices…

I put together a kid style board as I was shopping. What do you think of this look?

I found some great prices ~ jeans for $9.99 & $12.99, polos down to $5.99. Unfortunately, not many sizes were left at these prices so I was unable to grab my first choices. Any type of uniform clothes go FAST!

What I did choose was khaki shorts, slacks, a navy polo, and a grey t-shirt ($3.99!) – all at reasonable prices. Even received a FREE TMNT school kit for buying $25+. That was a great surprise for the boys!

Our order arrived super fast! C’Man couldn’t wait to be model and try on his new clothes!

O’Bear didn’t wait a minute before tearing open his new school supplies…hee hee.

Genuine Flat Front Twill Pants with adjustable waist (very important for us!) found in the Uniform section.

They actually sent us the wrong size shirt – a young men’s size instead of boys – but this is what he will look like (we substituted one of ours) when the outfit is complete!

Isn’t he cute? I mean handsome 🙂

Here is in in Belted Cargo Shorts. I was a tad nervous about these as they are not adjustable, but the belt works!

And looks extra snazzy if you ask me.

Made it casual with our $3.99 grey T-shirt!

I’m happy that we got a start on our Back to School shopping. I am dreading the rest! ha!
