Cleaning Review

Thankful for my Maytag Bravos Dependability #MaytagMoms

It was a big day at our house a few weeks ago when the Maytag Man delivered our new washer and dryer.

Thankful that the name Maytag was coming into our home, a company that has been around for over 100 years. I needed a brand I could count on. Our adventure into washer/dryers wasn’t a good one so far.

We were operating with a washing machine that liked to leave stains on our clothes. They looked like small grease spots. I had no clue what was causing it, as I tried many different things to fix the issue. Our dryer’s timer went out last year. Hubby rigged it for awhile until it died once again. We bought a used cheap brand on Craigslist. Oh my! I didn’t know that dryers could actually be bad, as it took multiple cycles to actually get something dry.

As a person who tries to be as eco-friendly as possible, I was just longing for high-efficiency appliances. Maytag to the rescue!

I have to tell you how impressed I was with Maytag, even before  I actually used the machines. I really did have my own Maytag Man come to my house a week before the new washer/dryer was to arrive. He wanted to make sure I had enough space. He was the nicest little man – chatting with my kids and expressing just how nice my new Maytag appliances were going to be. He had been working with them for a long time and you could see his admiration in the company.

The BIG day arrived and my Maytag Man arrived with two other helpers. A crew of Maytag Men!

They took great pride in what they were doing. They made sure to show me their neat gadgets – the wide, flexible pipes, the air machine test to make sure my air control was good, and a few other things that this mama doesn’t understand.

We all did the first load together. These men weren’t leaving until I was happy!

But I was already happy, and let me tell you, I was singing with joy – and my machine literally sings back to me with its dings and bells! I know we will have many years working side by side. I’m looking forward to this relationship.

With its 13 speciality cycles to make my life easier, a Powerwash Cycle that delivers the best cleaning in the industry, and the Allergen Cycle to elminiate 95% of household allergens, I was ready to begin our life together.

And so were the kids.

Next month I will begin to tell you about some its awesome features. I am still learning with each load!

  • Our washer broke down about 18 months ago - it was not fun, especially washing diapers. But we survived for nearly 4 weeks. It's fixed. Now I think we're on borrowed time. We'll see how it goes. They just don't make stuff like they used to. I actually just wanted to say how excited I was for you to get your new appliances. Very cool. Enjoy!
