• Summer is going good so far - I am at a conference and go back home tomorrow. We'll see how much rain we've gotten there - they have been under a flood watch/warning the past 2 days and I know some areas have flooded. Hopefully it's gone by Sunday because we are supposed to go to the beach! LOL Other than trips to the beach, we don't have any trips planned.

• Thank you for featuring paper straws. We must get everyone to switch. Plastic straws last forever. They kill sea life in the ocean and creatures in our lakes and rivers. Say NO to plastic when ever you go out to eat. Encourage companies to switch to biodegradable paper straws. They're cool!

• I don't think my summer has officially started. But today was not a good day...just learned that some woodland critter (a bunny I suspect) destroyed my sunflower seedlings.

• We are staying home most of the summer. I have been helping my mom take care of my 90 year old grandma!

• We live at a man made lake, and we have really enjoyed taking our 3 year old son to the beach, he loves playing in the sand and swimming!

• Summer has been going well so far! I've been watching my grandsons play a lot of tennis, and hitting with them on the weekends.

• My summer is going pretty well. We just bought a fixer upper in March and have spent the past few months working on it. Just got central air installed this week (so nice!). We are working on getting the basement remodeled so my parents can move in down there (there's a kitchen, bath and 2 bedrooms down there along with a separate entrance). After that, we need to remodel the two bathrooms upstairs, install new flooring and update the kitchen (don't think we'll be able to afford a full remodel). I don't think we'll have time nor money to go on any trips this summer but we'll probably take a weekend or two to relax and enjoy summer.

• My summer travel is mostly done. So far, I have visited Japan, Hong Kong, Denmark, England, Germany, and the Czech Republic. Woo hoo! Coming up, I have Disney World, Cleveland, and Minnesota.

• It's very hot. Been dealing with a lot of physical issues and the heat is not good for them. So I've been staying in. Looking forward to our granddaughters 5 birthday next month.
