Peanut Butter Stuffed Protein Pancakes
The goal over the last few months has been to bulk up my 14 year old. He inherited my short stature and his father’s leanness. He looks younger than he is and gets comments about his age often. He takes it all in good stride though. This month is baseball tryouts. His first year playing high school sports and he is pretty excited. Hubby has setup a workout and a meal plan he has been following. What is one thing on this plan? Eating a good amount of protein like protein pancakes!
Krusteaz protein pancakes are the perfect meal for him. Made from 100% whole grain flour and contain no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives. Not only will they be good for him, but he can make them too since all he has to do is add water or milk to the package mix. Very easy!
Add in water for 15 grams of protein. Add milk instead for 17 grams. Or add in an egg too for 20 grams.
This weekend we made brunch for the family. We mixed and “stuffed” the pancakes.
Peanut Butter & Jelly Pancake anyone?
To add more to your Protein Pancakes:
We added a smear of peanut butter (or any nut butter will work!) on each pancake and then customized for each person. Here are a few ideas:
Top with jelly and/or fresh berries.
Top with sliced bananas and cinnamon.
Top with honey.
Everyone devoured their meal.
The kids wanted me to include this photo below to show you what our pups was doing during my photo shoot. He wanted a lick so bad!
