Natural Corn Tableware for Kids

I am an Iowa girl. If you know your state facts then you’ll know that Iowa is the corn state. I grew up surrounded by cornfields and looked forward to fresh corn on the cob every fall. Today I’m happy to share Re-Play which makes natural corn tableware for kids. I knew I had to try it out!

Corn, really?
Really! We use a unique corn (PLA) formula. Unlike conventional plastic, which is largely made from petroleum, our bioplastic is primarily made from corn! Polylactic acid (PLA) requires significantly less fossil resources, and generates far fewer green house gases than conventional plastic. And corn is a renewable and sustainable resource.

With P’Diddy being my third child I already had tableware. Plastic, worn-out, needs to be thrown out, tableware. I keep saying I’m going to get new but I have yet to do so! I was delighted when Dandelion sent me a whole set. We are good to go now and I couldn’t have asked for better products for him.

Pictured above is the infant set. Divider bowl and spoon. I never knew what I was missing out using the infant spoons I did have. These long handles are awesome! They fit down inside all jars and containers and have a small head for that little mouth.

Below is what I call the toddler set. The divided plate keeps food separated…because every kid knows that foods (like siblings!) shouldn’t touch each other! (Love that description!). The bowl is nice and deep to help keep food inside and the spoons are also deeply bowled to help early learners get the food to their mouth instead of the floor.

Everything is of course natural… BPA free, Phthalate free and PVC free!

 

We first tested out the divided plate. I was able to put watermelon and peas together! Usually I just give him one at a time and rinse the tray in between. I also loved that this plate was the perfect size for his high chair. Other kid plates we have are to round for this smaller sized tray. We are just starting to learn how to use the spoon!

Now my only comment to add is…I wish they made natural corn tableware for big people! 🙂
