My Beachy Room

We weren’t expecting an extra room when we went house hunting. When we moved in I wasn’t sure what kind of room I wanted it to be, but I quickly decided it would become a multi-purpose room ~ library/craft room/guest room ~ with a Beach theme! Or at least it’s the start of one with my new bedspread!

Did you know that you can make your own children’s bedding? My surfboard bedding came from the boy’s section and I think it brightened up the whole room! My kids wanted to add their ocean animals to help decorate. What do you think?

Blues, browns, & oranges are my favorite colors so I was super happy with the way everything looked! I believe this blanket and shams were made just for me! Can’t wait to add the extra beachy touches to the room in the coming weeks.

You can also make your own teen bedding which in just another few years (ahhhh!) I know C’Man will love creating his own look. He already does!

If I had known you can design your own crib bedding ten years ago I would have been all over that! You can choose a different color/design for the bumper sides/piping/ties as well as match up skirt and sheet. Even the mobile and window valances can be coordinated. So fun!

Our next bed will be to design your own toddler bedding in the next year or so as P’Diddy moves on to the next sized bed. I think we will keep the crib for a little longer though as that thought scares me! 🙂
