I thought this post was fitting this week. Not only are we chatting about my one true love, chocolate, but another item I love to receive are flowers! I sure hope Hubby is paying attention.
Actually, he is pretty good at giving flowers. He doesn’t do it all the time, maybe not even every year, but when he does I am surprised and very appreciative. Boy, do I love the way fresh flowers smell.
One of my fondest memories of receiving roses was the day after we got engaged. That was already an exciting day because I announced to the world that I was getting married. I happily showed off my new ring to my co-workers, and I got to hear congratulations a hundred times that day.
As I was sitting at my desk with a smile on my face, a delivery man opens the door with the most beautiful bouquet of long-stemmed red roses. They were gorgeous! He placed them on my table which was at the front of the office so everyone had to pass by me and comment. Oh, what a great day that was!
Some of the best looking flowers that I have received have come through the mail. I know that you wouldn’t think for that to be the case, but it is. They are packed with perfection. The flowers are nestled just right in the tissue paper. The stems have tubes of water attached to them so they don’t dry out. You open up the box and instantly wowed with the scent of flowers like they were just picked out of your garden.
Plus it is so much easier to order online. With a click of the button you can order Valentine Gifts that any person would enjoy.
I wonder what Hubby will do this year for the big day. It is coming up fast and I’m sure giving him enough hints this week! 🙂
Have you received flowers for Valentine’s Day before? What other gifts for her do you enjoy?
