Easy No Sew Cape

It’s been a superhero night at our house! We watched Captain America the movie and made an easy no sew cape from an upcycled t-shirt that anyone can do. Believe me.

If you know your super heroes then you would have already said to yourself, but Captain America doesn’t wear a cape. Well, that’s ok. We had fun and what little boy doesn’t need a cape?

Especially an Upcycled T-Shirt Cape. No Sew makes it all the better. You need a pair of scissors and a large unused t-shirt. That’s it!

No Sew Cape

Cut Off Sleeves

Cut up the sides to separate the front and back. Cut around the neck.

Make the shape of cape you want. Cut the length if you need to make it shorter.

Cut the neck apart and tie into a knot so the child can easily slip over their head

(another way is to attach a piece of sticky velcro to connect)

Ta-Da!

It was super fast and easy!

O’Bear is Captain America obsessed right now so I can’t tell how excited he was to watch the movie. He and his brother had seen it in the theater with their grandpa, but he couldn’t wait to share it with Hubby and me.

Lots of action as Captain America fights with his bullet-proof, boomerang, shield (now I know why O’Bear HAD to have this shield) and not only wins the war, but saves them all.
