One of my In the Easter Basket posts this week I asked What do you put in your Easter Basket? The most common answer that I have seen so far is books! Today I have three new Christian kid books to share with you that will be great for that basket.
Pups of the Spirit illustrations by Deborah Melmon
I wanted this for P’Diddy who is obsessed with puppies these days. Nine lovable puppies each have a special trait – one of the fruits of the spirit from the bible. Patience, Kindness, Joy, Self-Control, Gentleness, Faithfulness, Love, Goodness, and Peace.
An easy way for them to learn these important words with playful, bright and colorful, pups!
The Legend of the Easter Egg by Lori Walburg (illustrated by Richard Cowdrey, illustrator of the Marley & Me books)
I was excited for this book because it is written by the same author as The Legend of the Candy Cane which I love.
‘What are Easter eggs?’ the boy asked. He soon learns the true meaning behind the eggs, the empty tomb, and the hope found in Jesus.
An Easter Gift For Me by Crystal Bowman
A board book for the little ones. Very simple words about Jesus and how he taught us about God, died for us, and lives again today in heaven.
The toddlers needs Christian books too and this is a good one to start!
