Diva Cup Reusable Menstrual Cup

| | |

The ‘reusable monthlys’ products go on! Did you know that there were so many options to choose from We’ve chatted about cloth pads (mama cloth!), sea sponges (very unique!), we will talk about tampons tomorrow (crocheted!), and today we are going to talk about Diva Cup Reusable Menstrual Cups.

The history…The menstrual cup was first developed in the 1930’s. It was made from rubber latex (an allergen for many). Because of management issues, the companies closed and menstrual cups were hard to find.

Over the last 15 years or so mother daughter team brought back the Diva Cup and today is made with soft, top quality silicone.

I was a little nervous to try this one, but I’ve only heard good things so that made me feel better.

I don’t know what I was worried about. It was smooth sailing!

My thoughts on why I think the Diva Cup is great…

Diva Cup Reusable Menstrual Cup

~ easy. There seemed to be a lot of instructions on how to insert, but with a little practice it became easy as pie!

~ no mess. You don’t have to touch the flow at all. Take it out with the stem and everything is contained in the cup.

~ comfort. I was pleasantly surprised that it really was comfy! I could only feel it if I thought about it, but otherwise could go on with my day and all of my normal activities and forget it was there.

~ long time use. Wear the cup for up to 12 hours. Wow! Even overnight! Rinse it out and wear it another 12!

Diva Cup comes in two different sizes. One for the younger, never given birth, women. And a second size for the 30+ or have given birth mamas.

They are available through many retailers including Amazon!
