Bonefish Grill’s Fire + Ice Pre-Fixe Menu

Bonefish Grill is not in my new town, but it is not far either. Everytime we travel down the interstate I see it out of the corner of my eye and I tell myself we must go soon. I’ve been hungry for those Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos!

This past weekend we had the chance to take the boys. It was a Friday night and the place was hopping. Everyone had a craving. Since we had a reservation, we were able to nab a table in just a couple of minutes. Did you know you could do this right online?

The kids went to work right away on their activity sheets – and coloring right on the table on the paper coverings. They liked this! Hubby and I studied the menu. Hmmmmm. It all looks good! Our focus that night was on the new Fire + Ice Pre-Fixe menu which is both spicy and nice. It features three courses starting at $19.90.

  • Cold Water Lobster Tail — Steamed and seasoned, served with warm drawn butter, crispy smashed Yukon Gold potatoes and spring sugar Snap peas.
  • Dynamite Opah — Nicknamed “moonfish,” Opah is a great fish for the grill with a firm steak-like texture. It’s topped with lump Crab meat, sautéed spinach, and finished with a creamy aioli.
  • Grilled Lamb Chops — Seasoned and lightly caramelized, served with crispy Yukon gold potatoes.
  • Oscar Turbot — From the land of fire and ice, Greenland Turbot is sautéed piccata-style and topped with jumbo lump crab meat and asparagus. Served with mushroom ravioli, spring peas and roasted pepper.

And the Shrimp + Scallop Firepot which is what we ordered – check out the main picture above (sorry they are bit dark from the lighting inside that night!). Jumbo shrimps and scallops finished firepot style, served with rustic cut vegetables and Yukon gold potatoes. Finished with spring sugar snap peas.

We were served our choice of salad (and that yummy warm bread!) to begin and we ended with DIY Doughnuts — a Bonefish Grill house specialty of croissant-like doughnut holes, tossed in cinnamon sugar that guests fill with sea salt caramel and chocolate sauce using mini squeezable bottles. YES YUM!

FYI, we also ate the Blackened Baja Street Tacos which I had never had before. They were good too – a spicy fish with a sweet mango salsa.

  • FYI The correct spelling is Prix Fixe, which is French for fixed price. Bonefish Grill sounds a bit like Red Lobster. I don't think there are any in Canada. :(
  • I love Bonefish Grill! The Dynamite Opah (I need coffee..I read that as Oprah LOL) sounds delicious and so do the DIY donuts!
