Books. Books. Everywhere Books. That is our house. Hubby would say we have to many but one never has to many books, right?

We love Barefoot Books too! I can’t remember where I first found Barefoot but I have collected a few titles over the years. They are wonderful children’s books that I consider very “artsy”. They are filled with culture and class and music and literature. But at the same time they are fun and full of imagination!

This was our first Barefoot Book. Skipping Through the Seasons. Each double page features a new month, but what makes it unique is you get to find the little objects that are written at the bottom of the page. Kids LOVE finding things!

For our review today, we got sent two awesome books. Kristina, at Barefoot, knew my boys loved dragons so she sent us A Dragon on the Doorstep. It is a quick easy read where the kids play hide-in-seek with different silly creatures ~ a dragon, crocodile, gorilla, all around the house. It’s the perfect book for my six year old to read to his brother before bedtime at night.

The next book weÂ received is definitely poetic but in a great kid way! Star Seeker A Journey to Outer Space. With my lunar lasso I’ll loop Saturn’s bright rings, And brand all his moons With the mark of wind is one of favorite lines. Isn’t that great? Each planetÂ has its own mini adventure. When you reach the end of the story there is a six pages dedicated to real facts about our solar system. AND a pull-out poster!
