Bake Pops Giveaway!
Since the very first commercial my boys were hooked. They wanted me to buy BakePops!
Here’s the thing. I love to eat. I even like to bake. But I do not like to decorate.
I am not good at it. At all. No artistic ability whatsoever.
I had to give it a try! Dip and sprinkle right? They did look easy…and fun!
Any cake mix will work. We went with yellow for the plain janes in the family and a box of pudding to make the cake more dense. I also grabbed two Toll House morsel flavors to melt as the coating.
We went home and mixed up the batter. Well, C’Man mixed up the batter and did a great job!
I poured it into the pan that makes 18 pops and waited. I was getting nervous as the ‘hard’ part was coming. The boys were getting even more excited and got the table ready with our sprinkle toppings.
Now, I want to say that the dip and cover was easy, but I can’t. For a normal baker it probably is, but I had to work at getting it evenly spread on and it still didn’t look the best in my book. I am anxious to try different candy coatings.
You know what? We still love them no matter how they look. Plus, this is only my first time and I know I will get better with practice!
It is supposed to come with a squeeze bottle to help out the decorating too, but either my box was minus one or the kids lost it and that could definitely be the case! I think drawing the squiggly lines and dots for decor adds to the fun!
