Bahama Mama Smoothie
My Bahama Mama Smoothie made with organic yogurt is a big hit around here. P’Diddy eats a carton of Stonyfield every morning as it is our go-to yogurt, mostly from their YoKids line, but you may find some regular or Greek in our fridge too. It is like a crisis around here if we run out and it doesn’t appear on his breakfast plate!
Why Stonyfield?
Organic of course. Obsessively Organic as they say. They do not the use toxic persistent pesticides, artificial hormones, antibiotics or GMOs. They started off with 2 men and 7 cows who happened to make a yummy ‘natural’ yogurt that sold well…and kept on selling!
What I love is the company itself. They always seem to be doing something good. Did you know they were voted one of the best companies to work for? Plus making this world a better place seems to be a mission – train transports instead of using trucks is more fuel efficient, foil lids instead of plastic, multi-cup packs made from plants, and I could go on…
With my shipment from Stonyfield I received their cookbook. Oh my I did not know all of the recipes you could create with yogurt! Wow!
How does Herbed Zucchini & Quinoa Pilaf sound? I am totally making this! Or Pineapple and Macadamia Nut Muffins? yummm. They are both made with Stonyfield’s Nonfat Greek Yogurt. Yes, please check out all of Stonyfield’s recipes!
The Bahama Mama Smoothie stood out to me (I wonder why!) and I knew I needed to give it a try.
Bahama Mama Smoothie
- 1c ripe mango chunks
- 3/4c fresh pineapple chunks
- 2 bananas
- 1 1/2c Stonyfield vanilla yogurt (I used Greek!)
- 6oz unsweetened coconut milk
- I added a cup of crushed ice because I love mine cold
- Place all in blender (love my Nutri Ninja Auto-iQ Compact System ) and puree for 45 seconds. Viola!
