My Everyday Heroes & Disney’s #FireAndRescue on DVD!
Today I’m taking part in a blogger program to chat about my little heroes and the DVD release of Disney Planes Fire & Rescue. This is a fun post for me! How do my boys relate to Dusty? They are full of energy and adventure too, but even more important they all heroes in my eyes.
Rewind four months ago. I had a secret that I wasn’t ready to share with you. We were moving across country! This wasn’t something that we had been planning for months. It was an idea planted in our head at the right time and we decided to run with it. The boys? Were they up to leaving their friends and start all over again?
Yes! They wanted the adventure!
What an experience it has been. We said goodbye to the ocean and our friends at the end of June and traveled to our hometown in the Midwest were we stayed with family for three and a half months. This was not originally in the cards to stay that long, but I’ll tell you that I am SO proud of my kids. They not only shared rooms, but beds. They didn’t have any of their toys, most of their clothes, and had to eat what someone other than their mom cooked for them, which meant no complaining! They didn’t have their dad who went ahead of us. They didn’t go to a regular school this year, but with open hearts decided to try homeschooling.
They drove for a total of 31 hours in the car. ‘Are we getting closer?’ gets just as annoying as ‘Are we there yet?’ 🙂
We are at our desination now and I look back. I remember being very anxious about how this all was going to turn out. You never know how kids will behave and accept new opportunities, right? I am SO proud of them. We are still living in boxes, while trying to keep the house in some kind of order (how do you unpack and still keep the house clean?) and at the same time keeping up with our lessons for school. Phew!
They have had nothing, but great attitudes and smiles. I love my boys and they are Everyday Heroes in my book!
Were you able to see Disney Planes Fire and Rescue in the theaters? If not here is a little synopsis…
When world famous air racer Dusty learns that he may never race again, he must shift gears and is launched into the world of aerial firefighting. Dusty joins forces with a team of veteran firefighters and together, they battle a massive fire and Dusty learns what it takes to become a true hero.
This Tuesday, November 4th, Disney Planes Fire and Rescue is Landing on Blu-ray Combo Pack and Digital HD. I’m going to grab one and try to save it for a Christmas gift. Think we can wait to see it?! Probably not. ha!
