Build-A-Bear $25 Giveaway
Build-A-Bear Workshop. One of my favorite places to visit! Really!
Do you know why I love it so much? I have boys and boys do not have dolls and babies that they can dress up and play tea party with and I really miss that. Build-A-Bear is the next best thing and my boys LOVE going there. Even my big boys!
Have you had the privilege to visit a store before? Our current town does not actually have a store. Boo hoo. But our favorite town to visit for a day is Myrtle Beach and they have the BEST Build-A-Bear store I’ve seen. It includes Build-A-Dino!
When you walk in the front door you are immediately drawn in with the rows of stuffed animals to chose from. Gosh to be a kid again! What would I pick? I always have my opinions for my boys. ha ha!
This time of year they have special holiday ones ~ Snowman, Santa, Reindeer and the Penguin which is what C’Man chose.
O’Bear chose the Red Panda which is one of their limited collectible ones. $1 from the sale of each Red Panda goes to the World Wildlife Fund, which helps protect wildlife and their animals.
P’Diddy picked the German Shepherd which is a Bearemy Kennel Pal and $1 goes to a Foundation to help our furry friends. This animal was just discontinued and the Pug is the current one in stores for this cause. It’s cute too!
After selecting just the right one for each of them it was time to pick a sound. Yes the animals can make sounds when you push on their hand (or paw!). We now have one that giggles, one that sings and one that says woof woof!
Now for the best part. The stuffing.
The staff really go out of their way to make this special for the kids. She puts them to the test and teaches them about loving their animal and keeping it warm. Even how the animal can be tracked if it gets lost. They picked out a heart to put inside, but first they rub the heart against their heart and seal it with a kiss before it gets sewn up.
It’s a very special process to have your Build-A-Bear come to life!
After your new stuffed pet is born he needs a bath first thing right? Press on the pedal below and air will come whooshing out. Don’t forget to brush him!
And then some clothes. Clothes is a must! They have a great selection for girl AND boy! Lots of sports, dinosaurs, Disney and more! Check out that igloo in the photo for the penguin? Yes he needs a place to sleep.
Once he’s dressed and spiffy looking then it’s time to give him a name. My boys love this part and usually ask the advice of their dad because he has a naming talent. ha!
The kids get to type up their info on the computers and out comes a Birth Certificate for their new loved one.
We have a Red Panda named All Star, a penguin named Tebow and a dog named Spike.
