Reduce Typing Tension
Well I hate to admit it, but some days I am just tired of looking at a computer screen. I’m lucky that I work from my home and can spend brief amount of times at my keyboard. I remember what it was like to sit at a desk all day staring at the screen.
I want to remind you to take small breaks. Not only with this ease the tension that overtakes you from sitting, but will prevent hand and wrist injuries too.
Here are a few other reminders…
Blink. Sometimes we forget to do this! Helps with not straining your eyes.
Comfy Chair at the right height. This can make all the difference in the world!
Make sure you have good typing posture. Elbows should be relaxed near your body, wrists kept low and fingers curved. You’re not supposed to rest your wrist on the keyboard. I need to watch this one!
Remember to stretch. Every once in awhile stretch out those arms, fingers, and legs. Even do some simple exercises to get the blood flowing.
Healthy snacking. We all need to munch on something right? It makes us think about something else for a moment.
What are some things you do to keep the tension away while working all day?
