Thanksgiving FuN with Dinosaur Train ~ Pjs, Slippers, Holiday Book, & New Episodes!

| |

Dinosaur Train is gearing up this month to talk about traditions. Let me tell you about all the FuN things they have planned!

Thanksgiving is a great time to get your kids involved in planning meals. They like to help you cook I bet so why not try a dish that is new and healthy to them? Dinosaur Train has a new project on their website called Hungry Herbivores that can be used to construct a Thanksgiving dinner for modern day animals that enjoy a plant-based diet (herbivores). This FuN project can also be used to encourage your child to eat Thanksgiving dishes like squash, green beans and other vegetables, just like the animals in the project. Think it will work? Try it and find out!

After dinner time, the family traditions continue. Put the kids in cute Dinosaur Train pajamas and slippers so they are comfy as everyone discusses what they are thankful for. Maybe you play games or tell stories around a fire. Whatever your customs are, I know you will be getting a lot of pictures and memories of your little ones in their favorite character pjs.

Available at Kmart and Kmart.com ~ they come in this style that P’Diddy is modeling and also the warm fuzzy footed kind.

The Dinosaur Train slippers are available on Amazon. We have the slipper socks which I love because they stay on. There is also a moccasin style with Buddy on front. Rarrr!

The storybook A Holiday with Buddy is great to read aloud with the family. Follow along with Buddy and his family on their search for the biggest Cretaceous conifers, better known to us as Christmas trees, they can find to decorate for the holiday.

When you are done reading, the kids will be ready to find and decorate their tree!

And last, but not least, coming up at PBS Kids is a week of all-new episodes! New characters will be introduced – The Grandparents!

On December 10 tune in for “Tiny and the Crocodile”/“Meet the Grandparents”

December 11 for “The Egg Stealer?”/ “To Grandparents Nest We Go!”

December 12 with “Double-Crested Trouble”/“Erma and the Conductor”

December 13th “Dome-Headed Dinosaur”/”Treasure Hunt”

We’ll be watching!
