In the few months that I’ve been using my sleep essential oils now I have found that there is a common reason many of us moms want to give them a try. To help our children settle down at night and have a peaceful slumber all night long. Heck, even I want to lay my head down without a zillion things running around in it. Can essential oils help? You bet!
Sleep Essential Oils
The first thing I did when I opened my Starter Kit was to pull out…
Lavendar. Known for calming, relaxing, and balancing both physically and emotionally. Studies show it increases beta waves in brain, suggesting relaxation, plus reduces mental stress.
Peace & Calming. A Young Living blend that promotes relaxation and a deep sense of peace, helping to dampen tensions. It may calm overactive children and reduce depression, anxiety, stress and insomnia.
and then later I bought Cedarwood. It is recognized for its calming, purifying properties. Stimulates the brain center of emotions and the pineal gland which release melatonin (helps control your sleep/wake patterns).
Today I keep Tranquil Roll-On by my bed and use if I wake up in night I roll it on my big toe and behind my ears to breath it in. It is a blend of Lavender, Cedarwood and Roman Chamomile.

Every night before P’Diddy goes to bed, he asks me to put on his oils. We have a special roller bottle that I made up that has the combo of Lavendar and Peace & Calming in it. He loooooooves spreading it on his toes and bottom of feet because it makes him giggle! Many nights we will also use our diffuser so the oil scents are in the air, adding Cedarwood. The aroma of essential oils are just as benefitial as applying them on your skin. Did you know this?
Updated to add: Young Living now makes a KidScents line one in the collection is called SleepyIze made just for the little ones.
Since we are talking sleeping, I also wanted to mention the oil Valor. Apply to your big toe at night and it stops snoring!!
