Rainforest Alliance Roses found at Kroger Stores

|

Once in awhile I am a lucky girl and Hubby surprises me with flowers. I have to admit that I don’t really think about where they come from, but now that I am learning about Kroger’s Rainforest Alliance roses, I know that nothing less than that certification will do from now on. I think Hubby will agree.

Rainforest Alliance Roses

Roses from all the Kroger family stores are easily accessible and very affordable. That is why they are the largest florist in the country. My whole family was shopping at King Soopers the other day and we had lots of fun checking out the florist department. So many colors of roses! How does one decide? Bouquets starting at just $7! I could have scooped them all up. Good thing I had the kids with me to help me decide.

Red, orange, yellow, pink, oh my!

All roses sold are responsibly sourced and certified by the Rainforest Alliance. This means that the farms and forests that grow them are managed according to rigorous environmental, social and economic criteria designed to conserve wildlife; safeguard soils and waterways; protect workers, their families and local communities; and increase livelihoods. All great things! Just look for the Rainforest Alliance seal.

It really does make you think. Real people with real situations, trying to make the world (and our pretty flowers!) a better place. Plus, so important to take care of our earth. When something as easy as buying Rainforest Alliance roses can make such a difference, then there is no doubt in my mind that I will always do that from now on.

My roses opened up beautifully. Love the dark peach color!

Are Rainforest Alliance roses important to you?

I partnered with Kroger for this sponsored post. All opinions are definitely my own.
