Our Sandbox is at the Ocean

It was a beautiful southern day. Not hot. Not cold. Just right, and I didn’t want to let it go to waste. It was going to be a beach day!

Not quite swim in the ocean weather though, but I told the boys to get on their swim trucks with their t-shirts and we were going to take a walk on the beach. You never know what you’ll find! Shells, seaweed, even washed up jellyfish sometimes. We love seeing who can find the most unique looking shell to add to our collection.

There are many sights to see on the beach. Fishermen, kites being flown, windsurfers, and huge boats drifting by. There is never a dull moment!

The boys favorite part? The sand of course. Oh the tunnels they build and the castle moats they create. Back and forth to the water they go. They complain when the waves sweep it up, but at the same time they love to come up with another idea.

This particular morning we started out our day with Quaker Perfect Portions. All the boys eat oatmeal, but each like it a bit differently. Perfect Portions allows them to eat as little or much as they want and tailor the bowl to their specifics. Honey, almond milk, or maybe  a few strawberries depending on what we have on hand.

There is just something right about starting your day off with warm oatmeal in your belly.
