Are you familiar with Old London products? I just received a sampling of some goodies…

I used to loooove bagel chips! Well, I still do, but for some reason I haven’t bought them in a long time. I tore open these garlic and herb ones and had a nice crunchy snack. Yum!

The melba toast in rosemary and olive oil was good too! I liked how they are individually packaged in groups of five to keep it fresh longer.

And the melba snacks in sea salt you can’t help but like for a simply snack. Actually, just a couple of days ago I was chatting with another mom while she was cleaning out her car full of kid gear. Guess what I saw? A box of Old London snacks that she keeps in the car for the kids to munch on. Cool!

Old London actually has some great unique recipes…Chocolate Pistachio Crunch…I would have tried this if I saw this sooner! Doesn’t that look yummy?!

We love dips in our house so I opted to recreate the

Egg, Potato, Garlic Puree Appetizer!

1 box Old London Sesame Melba Toast or Old London Sea Salt Bagel Chips
3 Eggs, hard boiled
1 Medium yukon gold potato, peeled, diced and boiled (reserve 1/2 cooking liquid)
2 Garlic cloves
1 cup Olive oil
1 tsp. Lemon juice
1 bunch Parsley, chopped
Salt, to taste

Combine all ingredients except the olive oil in a blender and begin blending. Slowly add the olive oil until the puree becomes smooth. Add more water as necessary to continue blending.

Remove puree from blender and season with salt and lemon juice. Top with chopped parsley and serve with Melba Toast or Bagel Chips.

To note: I added more garlic and used less olive oil.

As I was making it I wasn’t so sure. It was a little different.

When I was done though, it had turned out like it was supposed to and I had my taste testers come into the kitchen to give it a try.

They ALL gave it a thumbs up! I was impressed! A new dip for us!!

I love finding new snacks, especially ones without the junk.

Living a healthier lifestyle is what I strive for.

  • At first reading the recipe, I wasn't sure about blending of the egg and potato but I guess it's like a potato salad dip then right? The more I thought about it the more I think this would taste pretty good! It LOOKS delish!!
  • Hmmm not sure that would fly with my crew but yes I buy the sea salt melba toasts when we have "party food" for dinner once a month. Now the chocolate dipped melba toast is for sure our speed! :)
