No Make No Bake Easy Lunchbox Ideas

| |

You know my motto in the kitchen – EASY. The one thing I dread most about the boys going back to school is making lunches. I don’t know why I hate it so much but I do! Every night when I’m already tired from the day after making dinner, cleaning up the kitchen, I have to add preparing three lunches. Three completely different lunches because they each have their own tastes. For P’Diddy’s lunch I’ve developed these easy lunchbox ideas where I don’t have to make or bake anything. Look at see!

Two years ago I bought this Bentgo Kids lunchbox and it has been perfect. The slots are deep enough, it doesn’t leak (even with hummus and salsa!), and he just has to open one thing.

All I have to do is fill it with ready-to-go foods. No slicing, no putting together, just pull the foods right out of the fridge or box. Here is his favorite no make no bake easy lunchbox ideas:

Sliced meat. I buy the best meat from the deli counter and have them slice it thin. I rotate each week between turkey and chicken and always buy sandwich sized pepperoni too.

Cheese. Either a Horizon Organics cheese stick or these cute cheddar cheese shapes.

Crackers. This can vary to anything I have in the house, but his fav is the Horizon Organic cheddar crackers shaped like cows. He brings these for his morning snack most days too!

Fruit. Raspberries, blueberries and grapes are fruits you don’t have to cut up.

Hummus. I don’t have it pictured here, but he brings it often to dip everything.

Trail Mix. I buy nuts, seeds, dried fruits, chocolate, already mixed and ready to go.

I add in these cute food picks and Lunchbox Love notes to make it more fun.

This is his lunch most days, but there is one other way we mix it up a bit and call it Nachos. I put each ingredient in its own compartment and he builds each nacho at lunch which he loves.

Tortilla Chips. Organic corn chips that are easy to dip.

Shredded Chicken. I buy chicken already shredded from the prepared meal section. I’m guessing it is day old rotisserie chicken they are selling. I’m not sure, but it makes my life easier.

Cheese. Shredded cheese this time.

Salsa. Organic Simply Truth brand is a great one from Kroger stores.

Our Kroger store is King Soopers and we have a fabulous new one in our town. It’s huge and I love that I can find so many healthy items. I look for their sections in each aisle with the green signs labeled Live Better. Live Naturally. Feel Better.

Find yummy Horizon Organic products at your local Kroger store.
