My number one goal for 2012 is to Be Healthy.

A good diet (watch the sugar Courtney!) and get myself outside to take a walk or ride my bike, use my Zumba 2 for the Wii, or even climb the treadmill that sits in our garage and collects dust most of the time.

An area I need to work on is my cooking. I need to plan ahead, prepare meals earlier, and only buy fresh foods. One thing we have been doing right is the oil we use to cook hot meals. Many people know that extra-virgin olive oil l is healthy, but did you know that it should stay cold? When it is heated on high it loses some of its value. We have switched to Organic Extra Virgin Organic Oil for all of our frying pans needs. It is good for your skin too (diaper rashes!).

 

Take a daily vitamin is another thing I am very bad at doing. I start it, finish the monthly supply in a few months, and forget to go get more. Bad! Even my boys are better at taking them than me. Maybe I need to get myself some gummies? Actually, what I really need is to try GNC Ultra Mega Green Women’s Supplement. It’s not only a greens food multi-vitamin, but contains calcium (trying to not drink cow’s milk at all!), has Omegas, and Green Tea too. Lots of stuff good for me!

 

When Hubby works out, he is really good at taking a bar or shake for extra added benefits. I am not very good at it, but there are lots of products to help in this area. The Gluten-Free Promax Energy Bars in Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough? um yum! I might as well get some satisfaction for all of my hard work, right?

The Perfect Gift: For Staying Healthy

 

I love having crunchy friends. They teach me so much! The other day we were having the ‘why does fluoride have to be in our water’ conversation. We all went out of our way to avoid it in our toothpaste, but having it in our water was a different story because how do you avoid it?
