AT&T’s new Nokia Lumia 920 Phone

We were in our AT&T store the other day and all the attendants were a buzz because it was the first day that the 4G LTE speed was in our area. They could not stop talking about how fast it was!

Hubby was super excited to get to test out the Nokia Lumia 920 which has the 4G. It has a lot of cool features…

4G LTE.  Powered by the 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon™ processor and 32GB of internal storage plus SkyDrive® cloud storage.

PureView Camera. 8 mega-pixels. The other day my brother and I were taking some neat pictures in a garden area. It was lovely. He had a fancy Canon and I had the Nokia. We both thought my pictures turned out better! This camera is Awesome!

Has Carl Zeiss® wide-angle optics uses advanced lens technology to let in more light than other smartphone cameras. That means your photos and 1080p HD videos are clear, crisp, and bright, even in low-light conditions. The optical image stabilization feature lets you snap jitter-free action shots. And you can view it all on the 4.5” PureMotion HD+ ClearBlack™ display.

Live Tiles. I’ve never seen another phone with a neater home screen. The tiles move, showing photos, profiles, and apps. You can customize any way you want – sizing the tiles, moving them around, and adding fun colors.

This is one of our favorite feature of the phone just because everything is on the main screen and combined. In the Me section I can find my Facebook, Twitter, photos. Everything all in one place.

Sometimes I think the phone has a little to much. I can click on my mom’s picture and find her phone number, push to text, write on her Wall, or even check out her Facebook status. Which is nice but I don’t really care about everyone’s social media updates and I surely don’t want all of  my Facebook friends added in my phone. We had to figure out how to remove that!

Slick, Smooth, and Colorful. Finely crafted one-piece polycarbonate body with rounded edges and tapered ends feels comfortable in your hand and slips easily into pocket or purse.

Available in your choice of high-gloss red, yellow, white, or cyan and black matte finish. 4.5″ ClearBlack display for easy viewing indoors or out with curved Corning® Gorilla® Glass to protect against nicks and scratches. Durable yet so sensitive to touch, you can actually use it with long fingernails or while wearing gloves.

I think it may be too sensitive and need to figure out if there is a setting for this.

Nokia Maps with Nokia City Lens. Augmented reality view lets you see what’s around the next corner. Nokia Drive helps conquer streets and roads with voice-guided turn-by-turn navigation.

Always good to have a nice GPS system at the tip of your fingers. We’ve had company in town, showing them the sights, and exploring new areas can sometimes get you lost!

Overall, I think the phone is cool. The screen is huge and has some nice features. But…I love apps…especially my Instagram which isn’t available with Windows. If you don’t download a ton of apps then this may be the phone for you! I’m going to surprise my mom with it. She has never had a smartphone and I know she is going to love it!
